Profile

Serving as a Lecturer in English in Shillong Polytechnic for almost 22 years, Dr. Rangehbok Lyngwa obtained his PhD in English in 2020 from the National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya. His field of research is focused mainly on Indian Drama. He has been teaching Communication Skills and Life Skills to the diploma students of Shillong Polytechnic and at present he is also engaged on dual charge as an Assistant Professor teaching Communication Skills to the Engineering students of the Shillong Government College of Engineering.

He has attended and presented papers in various conferences, seminars and symposia at the National and International level. He has also published research papers in various journals at the national and international level. Besides, he also shares an ardent interest in poetry and has published a book of poems entitled, Looking Glass: Reflections in Verse, while other works are published in anthologies and other platforms.

In addition, he also shares an active interest in film making and has worked enthusiastically in the production of many short films and animated music videos as a producer, script writer, screenplay developer, actor, and composer. He is also presently the lead vocalist of the Shillong-based band, Euphonic Express.
