The Electronics Engineering Department started in the year 1994 with an intake capacity of 30 students. In the 1994-95 academic year, the enrolment was less. The first regular batch started only in 1996 and in 1997, the Government created four more teaching posts- 2 for Lecturers and 2 for Sr. Instructors. The faculty strength was further enhanced with the creation of the post of Head of Department in 2005, which in turned paved the way one more position of Lecturer. Through the years, enrolment has increased and this relatively young Department has, on various fronts, seen active development and it is still growing on all these fronts. Students passing out from the department are either pursuing higher studies in Engineering in renowned Institutions or are employed in the State Government Departments/Central Government Departments/Public Sector organizations such as NESAC, Doordarshan Kendra, All India Radio, BSNL as well as other Private Sector Telecom Companies or are self employed after having availed state/central government grants for the technically skilled.
