Welcome to the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. Our commitment is to produce highly skilled technicians and encourage our students to pursue further studies and research in the field of Computer Science & Engineering. We aim to provide a supportive and innovative learning environment that equips students for the challenges of the modern technological world.

History

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering is the youngest department in Shillong Polytechnic, established in 2002 with an intake of 30 students. The department plays a vital role in imparting knowledge in Computer Science, Engineering, and Information Technology. The primary objective is to produce skilled technicians at the supervisory level to meet the growing demand in various sectors.

Courses

The department currently offers a 3-year Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering with an intake capacity of 30 seats.
