Welcome to the Department of Electronics. Our department is dedicated to nurturing highly skilled technicians and engineers who are prepared to meet the challenges of the rapidly evolving field of electronics and communication technologies. We strive to create an innovative and supportive learning environment that encourages students to engage in research, pursue higher studies, and contribute to the advancement of modern electronics in both academic and industry settings.

History

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering is the youngest department in Shillong Polytechnic, established in 2002 with an intake of 30 students. The department plays a vital role in imparting knowledge in Computer Science, Engineering, and Information Technology. The primary objective is to produce skilled technicians at the supervisory level to meet the growing demand in various sectors.

Courses

The department currently offers a 3-year Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering with an intake capacity of 30 seats.

To build a department committed to producing skilled technicians and encouraging students to pursue higher studies and research in Computer Science & Engineering.
